Happening Sunday morning as I post this.

The inflating is happening on webcast.

This really helps EMU athletics and more importantly it means players can lift weights in the Convo Center and do their other training inside this structure just a few hundred yards away.

Very efficient.
Nice addition that will mean alot for EMU athletics. Congrats!04-bow
Nice work EMU... this can only help you guys.

As an NIU fan I look forward to our indoor facility opening in 2045.
and our science building is growing faster then the national debt.

EMU is making some great strides both in athletics and in academics. Maybe this will help get some community support going towards Eastern instead of that other Washtenaw County school.

A lot of very nice buildings the last 10 -20 years on a campus which decades ago had a reputation for not being a beautiful campus.

The Convo is my favorite arena to watch hoops. The lower deck seating is fantastic.

The Halle Library is beautiful.

The student center, a few years old, is beautiful.

Lot of money was spent in the 90s.

(EMU is spending big bucks on two building now).

The only thing EMU really lacks is a FB team which wins 8 games and puts 15 - 20K butts in seats.

MAC fans who go back to the 90s might remember Ron Cooper's team ('94 or '95) which was very exciting to watch and drew a crowd which was larger then the entire home attendance this year. The crowd was reported to be around 24K. (I was there and Rynearson looked great with a very large crowd).

It can be done. EMU president Dr. Martin is a huge sports fan and is determined to see intercollegiate sports succeed at EMU.

EMU has plenty of students and alums to be part of a fan base.

Are they using the same machine that inflates their football attendance?

i'm an eastern guy, but holy crap did i laugh when i read that. hahahhahaha kudos.
What's cool about the Internet era is that a school like EMU which has something new to show can do it pretty easily (as shown in this thread).

EMU coaches can text or e-mail a link to EMU You Tube link and show their '10 recruits and their '11 targets and also the high school coaches of potential recruits.

Hopefully this kind of media work disspells old, out-of-date notions about what EMU facilities look like.

I've been in some of the new stuff (e.g., EMU football room) and find it very nice.

As I might have posted on this forum or the EMU forum, the EMU Convo is my FAVORITE arena of any I've been in (that includes the midwest and many on the east coast mostly mid-Atlantic area).
