His TE days may be over...
He is destined for the O or D-Line.

Has the right attitude:
QUOTE:
"The coaches are looking to split me wide and get me the ball more," explained Henderson. "I still play defensive end some. I try to do whatever the coaches ask to help the team."

He's probably a DE or possibly a TE/H-Back. He had a heart condition his junior year and couldn't play then he transferred to NLR. He's very athletic and if not for missing his junior year he would have been recruited much more heavily.
Even with him as a TE, we still only have 2 TE for next season. Onarheim graduated correct? One glaring thing we do not have is TE depth. Not complaining just observing and seeing that maybe the TE option is not the coaching style he is going with. LSU never had any memorable ones.

We have 3 on the roster without him. Devin is a senior this year plus we redshirted B Johnson (alabama)and D Lytle(ecs memphis) last year.
Now that is what I like in a TE. 250 lbs. He is ready to roll. I hate it when we sign TE that weigh in at 220, 225. We have done a lot of that lately. A TE needs good size. I like this kid, now if he can play...

I saw on the ticker that we sighned a 230 lb DL. See that won't work. That's a LB not a DL. Maybe in three years he is a DL. I'm LP knows what he is doing so I trust him when it comes to recruiting.

No No No O or D line out the question he's 6' 4" 250 running a 4.7.....
Saw him on LR news last night. Smiling from ear to ear with his Tigers hat on!
Isn't this the guy that CLP was talking about that could stretch out the defense with his catching ability? If so, it sounds like CLP will play him at TE.

Just to clarify.. they thought he had a heart condition and didn't want to risk playing him....he is A ok and 100% ready to play, the school he transferred from didn't win a game in 2 seasons (his junior and senior year) so thank god he went to NLR..

Wasn't Porter referring to him as a tight end that could stretch the field? Who knows, we may run some formations that use two tight ends.
I was 6'4 245 coming out of HS. By the end of my first year in college, I was 6'4 1/2 285 and actually lost a size in my waist. If you have the frame and are willing to put in the work, you can easily put on 30-40 pounds your first year.

A 230 DE is much different than a 230 DL. You can play rush end at 240-250 in college and have a pretty successful season, not so much at DT.
Anything is an improvement.... the previous staff had Weaver playing DE at 210 lbs.

transferring from the LRC to NLR had to be hard on that kid.
Let's just say those two don't always jive.
