WMU has almost always recruited strongly. Last year and this year especially. But it takes more than talented players to translate into wins on the field. You have to have the schemes that bring out the best in the talent you have, that is where we lacked the last few seasons.

Cubit and his staff have done a good job recruiting, but now we need to correct our offense and defense strategies or all that talent will be wasted. If we can do it we'll be a team to beat next season. If not, it'll be more frustrating losses.
Oh jeeze......
Whats the matter numbnuts, a thinking commentary too challenging for you?
I hate you both...

and to answer your question BP...only time will tell
I should have made some observations about subbing 3 players at a time or something more profound, that way DB wouldn't have been at a loss.
Hey Captain Obvious, your thoughts are so insightful that they have me just reeling with new possibilities.

"You have to have the schemes that bring out the best in the talent you have, that is where we lacked the last few seasons." Wow, amazing. 03-melodramatic

What exactly do you think should be done, where did the "schemes" let us down last year?

I think they should increase their calorie intake. Pffft.
^LMAO!

I think they should recruit more European talent. Especially players from Greece.
They might be drawn to the frat houses though, and thats always trouble...

we should be recruiting European talent for our kicking game...think how good we would be with European kickers....or a decent kicking game for that matter...

Remember everyone, there's no way we could be as smart as the brilliant Desert Bronco. We are all just heathens compared to him.
Gosh George, why the negativity?
Paging antiquity?

Why?

Even as a 75 year old, I could probably slap the snot out of many of you.
A silly remark, perhaps unnecessary, but true.

John Potter is a talented kicker. His numbers are not bad. Many of you have not done the search of MAC kicking statistics for 2008 and 2009, previously suggested by me. Too bad! The youngster has a strong leg.
His very real abilities have not been fully utilized. That is not my fault.
The politics of the situation were, and remain, quite beyond my understanding.

AND, he is not doing badly in his studies.

I'm looking forward to the 2010 season.

Come back when the serotonin cuts in.

In the meantime go out and polish the wheels on that Bimmer. 03-lmfao
You should polish them as payback for my taxes floating your company's boat. Least you could do.
