Hate to say this for fear of being bashed, but our stint at #1 back in 1982-83 was pretty dang short. Lost at Virginia Tech about 3-4 hours after the ranking came out, I remember how sick I was over it. I didn't even want to go to school the next day, but the folks were having none of that BS.

This is what I was talking about. I just couldn't remember the year, just that it was only a few hours.

It's been alot of fun tonight posting Cal chokes on coc*s all over ESPN. Already having fun on the convo page. Really just out of boredom and can't sleep, plus it was the first comment posted on Andy Kat'z article, it should get some hillbilly's all riled up in the morning.It may be short lived, but I can enjoy it at least for tonight.
