Do cell phone companies still give really good deals with threats of leaving for another carrier? My contract is up in six months and I'm getting a little tired of the increased costs.

My family did this a few years ago when we were with Centennial. We complained for a good 3 hours about how we were loyal customers (something like 15 years with them) and blah blah blah - we all got free phones that were normally 100 dollars at the time (with a plan - w/o a plan like 299) We got a better contract for a lesser price as well.

Then since AT&T bought Centennial we left Centennial mid-way through said contract we left for AT&T and saved 100 dollars off our already discounted plan!

If your with Centennial or any other smaller company that is owned by a larger company (AT&T or Verizon) look into moving to them as its usually cheaper. Centennial's tax fees were around 10 dollars more than AT&T's tax fees. Interesting eh?

Sometimes we have to be vocal in expressing our thoughts with these companies. Most of them are servicing thousands of customers if they will give freebies like that to everybody, it will surely cost them a fortune. So, I thinks they are just pretending to ignore loyal customers if they are not complaining at all. Predictive Dialer
