Not sure why. For his career his assist to turnover ratio is 1.3:1. Obviously, that needs to go up. It can if he can change his mindset when he is on the court. Hopefully, he can do that but it is easier said then done for a player who clearly has a score first mentality.

Also, as I believe Dr. J pointed out, players with hight A/T ratios have players who can finish inside. Not sure what USF had, but we don't have it at the moment. Also I can understand Solo not wanting to give the ball up on drive to an inside player, who will likely miss his free throws, rather than hoping to draw the foul himself.

He might be forced to put on his point guard hat for most of the rest of the season. Either he or Ricky. III can play there, but he needs to be off the ball trying to get some open looks. And our inside players need to be ready to accept passes for layups, and if they get fouled they need to make their foul shots. If that occurs, we will have a chance to win a few games. Look for Montrelle to begin to establish himself on the inside. I feel that we might be in for some pleasant surpises tomorrow night.04-cheers

We'll have a pleasant surprise if we have a guard who can stop Billy Humphrey- do we have that player, I don't know. Their inside game is no better than ours, although they may be bigger physically. Crowd was never a factor there, even when they were winning and weren't about to go DIII- so it won't be tomorrow night either. Pretty much of a toss up game- which team wants it more. We may have the advantage on that count, since most of our players hope to be back here next year. UNO's players are all looking for somewhere else to play.
