Good game Kent. Singletary took over late, as seniors should do.
Coming up next: Eagles at Broncos. 02-13-banana
Great game. Quality teams. The East is going to be tough.
Well, it was a bit of a turnover-fest on both ends as both teams seemed a bit tight. But there were some great plays in the clutch on both ends as well. The teams battled hard, that's for sure. Great road win for the Flashes vs a team that has a lot of upside. Wins @ the Convo always come at a premium.

Attendance announced at 8359. Not great but not bad with the weather today.

i agree that is great and we'll take it for sure. i think, though, if the weather had been better (and not a Level 2 snow emergency in Athens County), we probably would have gone over 10,000. but, yes, 8359 is nothing to sneeze at!
The broadcast of the OU/Kent game was great. The camera work was good and only the extreme corners were out of the camera's view. If this is a student run operation, it is done quite well. I even enjoyed the audio. Even though it was biased, as I would expect, it was not overly biased. The play by play was very good. I wish the rest of the MAC schools would follow this example. I have watched the Horizon League webcasts and others on ChannelSurfing and OU is first rate. Kudos.
Kent is tough as nails.

yes they certainly are. wouldn't it be something if Coach Groce can get our young guys to that point in the very near future?! that's something to aspire to, for sure.
That was a great game. Singletary was definitely the game-changer in that situation. As difficult as it is to take a win away from the Convocation Center during MAC play, I'm hoping it doesn't happen twice in a row.

Here's to an OU victory vs. Akron on Wed! 04-cheers

I think it would take 4 or 5 games for us to reach that total.

What is the 411 on the Bobcats this year? People on the Zips message board are saying they are getting strong guard play but there is something to be desired in the post... just trying to get a feel for the game tomorrow night.

The Bobcats have several players capable of putting 25pts on the board.

The problem is defensively in the post the Bobcats don't have experience and can be exploited by seasoned frontcourts.
Thanks KC, sounds like it will be a good game. I was shocked to see Kent escape Athens with a win, as OU rarely loses at home.

yeah we were surprised by that too! LOL

but, yeah, i agree with KC's comments, and i will add the prevailing sentiment about this bunch of guys is get 'em this year coz it'll get a lot tougher for opponents in the next few years. from what i've seen with Akron, i'd say you all have the capability to get us this year, but i'm sure hoping i'm wrong!

and yes it should be a good game tomorrow night!
Ohio is guard-heavy with a couple decent but not world-beating forwards. They're really, really young (something like 315th in the country in experience, and this is before Coleman went down). They play fast and with strong man-to-man defense.

Very streaky shooting team. That's the Cliff Notes.
