Would seem about right. But then again, after the Orange bowl they used the 10 lost starters on D as a reason not to rank UC. This year it wil be the coaching change. Its always something once summer rolls around.
True... The only thing that sucks about the championship game being yesterday is we have to way 7/8 months to see another game. I just can't force to get myself into basketball.

I can't wait for the Spring games.
I saw those rankings earlier. I can't believe these people are leaving the Mountaineers out of it again. Ah well. WVU will have to climb the polls again. We've done it many times before...
Starting Boise at #3 is insane. Play a schedule rated in the 90's...no wonder he wants to keep coaching there.
They lose nobody to graduation. The entire Boise team comes back intact. The Broncos are a team that hasn't lost in over 2 years too. NOBODY else can make that claim...

Watching both games, the Fiesta and the BCS championship game, there was a big difference in size and speed in both cases. Boise is an awesome team but I do not know if they could match up with the biggest of boys. Do not get me wrong I believe in somehow including all in the hunt in a different fashion than today.
Bit, head to head on a neutral field, how does "unranked" WVU do against Boise?

WVU ended up ranked, but I think it would be a close game on a neutral site.
I'm talking about next year. This is a thread about a preseason poll.

Honestly, I think WVU would throttle them.

Next year, you may be right.
WVU doesn't throttle teams anymore. It would be a tight game, but WVU would win. VT-Boise on 10/2/10 at FedEx will be a game to keep an eye on...it's their only strong test all year.
But thats the KEY Boise will not play WV next year
They open vs VTech in DC
Toledo and Oregon state at Boise
travel to wyoming
They will be favorites in EVERY WAC game they play.
So if they beat VTech in opener they could be 12-0 once again, even if they lose that one theyl be favorites to go 11-1 and be highly ranked.
Thats why they are at #3
Boise will be ranked high because they're returning 21 of 22 players from last season plus that easy sched your talking about.

Boise lost to TCU in the Poinsettia Bowl in 2008. Therefore, nobody AT ALL can make that claim 03-nerner
I guess UC's come a long way in Schlabach's eyes. I can remember him having UC 6/7, or something, in 2008, after Mauk left.

Nobody thought Boise could beat Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl either...
That is more like it. By July the all knowing pundits won't even have UC ranked despite potentially having a better offense next year. Same thing happened last year.
