Mercer played nearly flawless in the first half to lead by 13 midway through the game. Then continued to build the work in the early moments of the second half up to an 18 point lead. Campbell, however, refused to quit. In a flash the lead was cut in half to 9 points. Around the 10 minute mark the lead was fluctuating from 7 to 11 points. Before we knew it Campbell had hit back-to-back three pointers by someone other than J-Rod. Soon the Camels took their last lead of the game by 1 point 65-64. Mercer could have easily quit here, but showed some 'heart' that Goldfinger likes to say MU does not have. Mercer would rally to take the lead back for good and put the game away. Every player on the floor for MU played well. Brian Mills is my player of the game. Emerson and Florence played extremely well, especially considering Campbell keyed on them. Brandon Moore looks better and better. Kusnyer was solid. Jeff Smith is such a necessity to have another guard who can do it all. A team win for sure.

Now can Mercer get the monkey off their back and beat ETSU? It's their best chance to date to do it.
