The Bucs are the only undefeated ASUN team left. Mercer is gonna be a really tough game.
Coach just said on post game show.. Browns ankle sprain is pretty bad and he is doubtful for Mercer. It will be a tough game for our young guys.

in hindsight...they shouldn't of played him today

but if it's just a sprain....he should be back this season.
The question I have is this, as we are now the only undefeated team in the A-Sun (I know there is a lot of season left to be played) and have not played all that great all season, is the A-Sun that weak this season? I know it's far from a strong conference, but one would think that with the struggles we've had this season, leading after 4 games is the last place one would expect "this" Buc team to be. Any thoughts???
I don't think the league is very strong at the top this season; doesn't appear to be 1-2 real good teams. But it seems to be better than it used to be toward the bottom. Teams like North Florida and Gulf Coast are getting better. And I think KSU is better than it showed today.

I think we've been helped, so far, by not having to play the teams with pretty good outside shooting. Will be interesting to see how the zone fares against teams like Belmont, Lipscomb, Mercer, Campbell--who all have some pretty good perimeter shooters.
I'm looking forward to this game on Saturday.

Justafan: Here's a take on your 4-0 record... the combined conf. records of those four teams is just 4-14 (4-10 against everyone not named ETSU). It's still impressive to win them all, however, they are against the bottom tier of the ASUN and JU (1-3).

This will easily be the biggest test so far for both teams conference wise.

I don't know that much about the current team at ETSU so I need to look up the starting five and see what MU is dealing with.

I thought Kennesaw looked absolutely awful tonight. Upstate is scrappy but they aren't a real threat against a good team. Jacksonville came inside the dome a crippled contender. UNF....eh.

It's hard to say for sure without having faced Belmont and DAVID lipscomb as to the level they're playing. I haven't really seen Mercer or Campbell play yet.

It's not popular...but if there is a team that's down this year from the last....I think it's us. And yet we find ourselves 4-0. If we can pull out a win against Mercer on Saturday...then I'll be impressed.
Last year it was not that big a surprise when we won it all with those 3 great Seniors .. two of them the two top scorers in the conference..
and Mike Smith..

This year....without those Senior stars..in fact no Seniors at all
Without Seth Coy..without Mike Smith who is pre season first team all conference...

Playing all these freshmen..

With Brown injured......

If we can even stay in the game and not get blown out at Mercer.
The league better watch out by tournament time..

and next year.. everybody is back including Mike Smith !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
