The 1983-84 UAB team started 11-1. They lost at Chattanooga in the 6th game.

The 1985-86 team started 12-1, and their lone loss was the 2nd game of the season against Duke.

The 1991-92 team started 13-1, and their lone loss was the first game against Duquesne.

The 1993-94 team started 13-1, with the lone loss coming at Temple in the 3rd game.

This 11-1 start is the best I've seen since following the UAB Blazers beginning in 1995.

I came to UAB in 1995, so I also didn't see the previous teams. Who would have thought we could play this well this season. I know there's a lot of basketball left and I know we're not going to win forever, but this run has been fun.
