ive always thought the "overrated" chant was the DUMBEST chant ever. youre basically saying, "we beat you, but you really arent that good." why would you say that?

if somebody says, "yeah, you beat down cinci, but they arent as good as we thought" we'd take offense to that, but thats exactly what you're saying with the overrated chant.

Not over rated at all they gave us a run for our money.

The guy behind me started chanting that and I told him.......... no they are a number 16, but we are better

I heard a guy near me trying to start "Underrated" but it quickly morphed into Lets Go Blazers.

The two chants after "Is that not the scoreboard" and "Yes, that is the scoreboard" sounds like they're saying the score:

Director: Is that not a 74?
Crowd: Yes, that is a 74.

Director: Is that not a 64?
Crowd: Yes, that is a 64.

2 or 3 fans in front of me started chanting 'overrated'.
I quickly told them 'H#LL NO, that only diminishes what we just accomplished'.

There was about four students that started the over-rated chant, but they couldn't be heard!

I got it, and I love it! I would love for our students to adopt it.

'Clock malfunction' would have been clever as hell, but I'm not sure that most in the stands would have gotten it, besides, the cat was let out of the bag in the last minute, sorry I didn't get the memo, myself, a few kids in front of me, and next thing you know, the student section joined in a short but raucous chorus of "OVERRATED!!!<clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!>...It felt good!!!

why did it feel good...to say, "we beat you, but its only because you arent very good." wow...feels great. ranks right up there with, "i scored last night, but she was pretty ugly"
