Jay Bilas just called us the "Ultimate Bubble team" on Sportscenter.

Pointed out the fact (again) that we have only one top-25 win and our OOC schedule is weak. That said, he did say teams from top conferences were going to regret playing weak OOC schedules.

Get used to it. You will hear it all day. You will hear it again, bigtime, after UAB gets a higher-than-he-thinks seed.

The only reason Bilas is saying anything about us is to create controversey (ok- I kow I didn't spell that right. kiss my :moon2: ) With that said, when UAB is announced it will give Dick Vitale and other boneheads something to gripe about. I think if Alabama gets anything other than a 12 seed, there needs to be a bunch of griping! I'm not sure that they should get in with 12 loses on their resume!

You just nailed it. They're setting up their controversy for tonight. What will happen is that if UAB gets in, Bilas will rail and someone (Vitale, maybe?) will defend them. If UAB gets snubbed, Bilas will look smart and another talking head will say it was a travesty. It's part of the schtick.

Mouse, you are exactly right. The talking heads need something to talk about and they aren't going to say anything negative about a team in the "power conferences" (i.e. Alabama). 17-12 should land you in the NIT. Period. The magic win number used to be get to 20. Now- the magic is in how much :moon2: a team and conference can kiss!

Will we get to hear "That's not fair! " from Vitale again? lmfao

How does UAB get so many haters. Usually underdog teams get praise from these people. With our recent success in the NCAA tourney the past 2 years and our style of play, how do we have so many haters. I dont understand why people dont root for us. I know our fan base has grown, but it is so weird that people want us to fail. We have an awesome coach and our players play with class and maximum effort.
