Aa always, Nick, enjoy your picks. I'd swap a couple of games with BG winning vs Idaho in a shoot out and Temple likely losing to UCLA (sorry, Temple fans, I'm not trying to "pile" on here). Also, I see S Fla winning kind of big over NIU. And I do expect the Marshall-OU game to go to the "wire".
Your first three picks are all DEAD WRONG!
Nick’s Pick: Central Michigan 31 – Troy 27

His picks have been amazingly accurate this year so...

Kinda light on the points in the BG/Idaho game, both teams could be in the 30's.

USF / NIU good analysis. If USF comes to play my Huskies will be in trouble.

CMU / Troy.... Troy must be pretty good as I was impressed by MTS win over So Miss, CMU is on the "road" against home team Troy. That is a tough spot for CMU,but LeFevour and crew have done it in the past.

Temple will beat UCLA, be surprised if the Miss Jr. California's comes to play.

Hoping Ohio pops Marshall.
Good overall analysis, here are my comments:

-I feel like Idaho is going to have a tremendous advantage vs. BGSU in Boise because of the home crowd and for most of the season they've been a better team. The margin of victory for Idaho I think should be in the double digits.

-CMU is bringing a very good team down to Mobile. Given that Troy couldn't get past BGSU I think they'll have their hands full against CMU. I expect a 10 point victory by the Chips.

Idaho is the hated rival of Boise State. The Boise state fans (at least the ones who frequent the BG board...and there are quite a few) will all be rooting for the Falcons. I would not look for all that much of a "home crowd" advantage.

How well do you expect the BG fanbase to travel to Boise?

Frequent might be a strong word-I frequent AZZ, the five Boise fans show up every now and then to mock Idaho-not sure they'll provide a sizable block and I'm not sure that a lot of Boise fans will attend. Nevertheless, there does seem to be some animosity there.

Well, considering it is a mid-week game half way across the continent I would not expect much. I guess quite a few members of the band are making the trip and there will probably be a few hundred others. Definitely less than 1,000 in total.

And the locals from Boise really do support this bowl game and I don't see any significant portion of them that would feel the need to support Idaho.

Other than they are all residents of Idaho and many have degrees from the state flagship institution?

Well, there's that. Hey Tom, maybe we should go- could be our chance to meet Sarah Palin-can't believe she'd miss the opportunity to see them in a bowl game.

Have you been lost without a clue (yes)? Did the bobcats not play a game down in Mobile a few years ago?

How long has it been since Miami has been to a bowl game, well that drought is 3rd in the conference behind EMU and Kent State...
Yes, apparently I am lost, KC...too many Xmas cookies I"m afraid! I need to keep better track of the Bobcats bowl games B4 I post! But the point of the post wasn't that the length of time between bowls, I was more curioius about the how the Bobcat fans would be turning out for a bowl game that is "driveable" from Athens.

Driveable? South America is technically drivable from Ohio. Detroit is 5 hours away at least.

The town is on winter break so our fans are really not going to be centered in Athens on the 26th. The real sticking point with a lot of Ohio fans is the opponent and that the game is right after Christmas day, not enough travel time after the holiday.

I would have thought the opponent would actually be a plus. Aren't you guys decent rivals with some history? When we played FAU last year our fans had no clue about them.
