That's pretty much what I expected. We beat Butler and we will either be ranked or very close.
The ESPN/USA Today rankings have not yet been released. They typically come out at noon.
UAB will probably get more love in the AP than the ESPN/USA Today. Butler fell to #20.
New Mexico at 13, really? I know they're 13-0 but they haven't played a great schedule. We have more votes than any other CUSA team. This Butler game is big.
Interestingly that Butler fell to 20 despite beating Xavier. Apparently some of the voters decided they should not have won that game and punished them anyway.

Also, Missouri State has a bigger gripe than we do about not being ranked. They are undefeated and have beaten Tulsa. They play at Arkansas tomorrow night. Hope the Hawgs can knock them off in case the voters decide to only award one non - BCS school with a ranking.

This is the AP poll. I'm pretty sure butler was 21st last week, so they moved up
Correct. Butler was 21st in the AP poll last week, so it moved up one spot. The Bulldogs were 17th in last week's ESPN/USA Today Poll, which has not yet been released for this week.
"We have more votes than any other CUSA team."

memphist has more votes than we do, despite the karmic defeat to UMass.

Memphis has 16 to our 29, right?
They do. Was looking at the last AP poll.
North Carolina with 3 losses sets at #10. That aint right.

I don't know about #10, but Top 15 is accurate. They have lost to #2, #3, & #5.

Their resume is just as impressive as anyone else up there atm.

I understand that it is important to play high ranked teams but I think it is more important to WIN those games. Just playing high ranked teams and losing should not get your ranked. Does anyone think that UAB would be ranked in the top 10 if we played and LOST to the #2, #3, & #5? They are ranked in the top 10 because many of them see it is UNC and they have the history of being a top 10 team. This is exactly how some teams become overrated.

They've also BEAT the current #9 & #17.

Those two wins are better than a majority of the Top 25's Wins, and their only losses are to undefeated teams. I'm fine with their ranking.

Now, if they didn't have the wins over Mich St & Ohio St. I would have them on the outside of the Top 25, but as is I'm fine with it.

We know what brings Robsmith out of the woodwork. Claiming to be 35th in a poll that only has 25 spots.
