...make sure you hug a Cincinnati fan. You understand better than most!
Good point. And most Cincy fans are okay, too.
texas field goal = chalmers shot

(almost. but the point is. they were RIGHT there)

love ya cinci.
I hope they beat the piss out of the Gators and then one of the players comment afterwards that "we didn't need BK afterall."

Screw em!!! I'm still pi$$ed about the "Snow Bowl" in 1993. Those cheatin' sob's sent out their grounds crew with a snow shovel during a timeout so they could clear a spot for the game winning field goal!!! The coaches were screamin' that they couldn't do that and the refs said, " you're right, but it's already been done, so...."

Its not quite that bad. At least, at this point, Cinci can still win a BCS bowl this year.
THe backlash from the players is hilarious and deserved. He didn't treat them right during this whole process.

Bingo
What did the players say?
Well, in all honesty, Brian Kelly actually handled this the right way at least as much as possible. Notre Dame is where he wanted to be when contacted. he didnt let it get in the way of beating Pittsburgh last week on an awesome comeback and he also refused to comment on it until the celebration was over. Once that was over he had to make the decision and he wanted to be in South Bend. Whats wrong with that? Its where he wanted to be and he made no indication he was staying in Cincy nor did he bolt for recruiting violations he was trying to avoid. In the end it comes down to you and what you have wanted to do in your life. Those guys are feeling a little like a jilted lover and will be bitter for a few weeks and probably a little after the Bowl game but it wont last much longer than that. He informed them of his decision with a full month before their final game and that has to hold some weight too.

Well maybe so, but...

Kelly's statements leading up to a title-clinching victory over Pittsburgh last Saturday made it harder to accept.

"The Tuesday when we were practicing for Pittsburgh, he said he loves it here and he loves this team and loves coaching here and his family loves it here," quarterback Tony Pike said.

Sound familiar?
What else was he supposed to say at that point?

"Well, I like it here and all but Im really thinking about South Bend."

Would that have made it any better?
"I really love Cincinnati but Notre Dame is my dream job so I have to listen."
never forget...4th and 27

damn Bearcats!

Go Tigers!!!

Evidently he lied to the players until the end about leaving for ND. That's the issue for me.
I will sympathize if Kelly takes the entire recruiting leaving Cincy with 4-5 bench players on each side of the ball.

Lots of things. Gilyard is especially pissed and is being very vocal about it.
