Any idea who may be the next coach? Tommy West is a free agent.
It was a steppin stone regarding ND. Not Nebraska, UCLA, Washington etc.
But he wouldnt have left for Zona nor Memphis those would had been a step down. 03-lmfao
This is a stupid discussion. Most programs are stepping stones comparing to ND. It is unfortunate but it is what it is. College football is still all about money and ND is just trying to buy a championship like Bama and Gators.

If a party is willing to pay for the privilege, any college basketball or football job can be a stepping stone--to another program or to the pros.
delete, lock or send this to the smack forum. This is definately stupid as sh1t.

Yes, this is posted by a memphis/AZ fan with a negative rep. A juvenile attempt to stir sh** up.

The John L. to UC thing wasn't funny the first time. Stop talking.
The real question is will ND be Kelly's pinnacle, or dead end?
pinnacle in year 1, dead end afterwards. the media is going to declare nd back as soon as they get their 9 wins (the majority over patsies), the administration is going to give kelly a massive raise and then reality will set in a year later as nd goes 7-5 again and the year after and the year after.

it has happened before, it shall happen again...
Dude!!! Its a job. It was a big step up from the Mac, and a step toward an elite school. 03-melodramatic Fans wouldn't want him around if he wasn't winning big, and if he was winning big he shouldn't want anything except to keep moving up the food chain. Its a career...
Kelly's won at every level he's coached. Counting him out already at ND is just wishful thinking.

Kelly will win there. He is a proven coach. But when ND doesn't meet the unrealistic expectations of playing in a BCS Bowl every year and he doesn't win the National Championships that ND Alumni feel that they are entitled to year after year, he will be thrown under the bus like all the other coaches that didn't meet the unrealistic ND expectations too. Kelly should enjoy his moment in the ND limelight while he can. Kelly's coaching ability earned him the chance to get to ND but on the other hand he should be ready to take the money and run when the return to the Glory Years does not materialize and he is chased out of town like those before him.

This guy clearly had a death wish. He decided to come over here and post **** right in the midst of the loss of arguably the best coach at UC ever. Two Extreme Flames in my opinion and if he's in the banned group, that's what he deserves.
