Has anyone seen the freshman Shannon Hale at Science Hill? I know it is way too early for serious discussion, but it never hurts to plant a seed with a potential recruit early.

Here is the article:

Science Hill Freshman

Maybe a recruit from Crockett next year and then a couple of years later one from Science Hill. Maybe this will start a Division I quality Tri Cities pipeline of players. 05-stirthepot
When it comes to basketball recruiting there is no such thing as being too early.
I've seen him a couple of times. Looks like a freshman at times but also does somethings well. He looks like he has a great up side. Problems are, he's only 6-5, and at this time I'm not sure he could play post at this height in college. He also only has a post game right now. By that I mean he doesn't really have an outside game to respect. But all that being said, he is just a freshman, and seems to love and understand the game, so I think he has great potential for improvement. Also he still has time to grow. On the negative side, I've heard rumors he was kicked out of school in Bristol as a 7th grader, and that's how he ended up in Johnson City. But again he's young, and seems to have kept his nose clean so far.
Article says he's 6'8". I understand them wanting to give him a few inches, but there's a big difference between adding 5 inches to Tim Smith and adding 3 inches to a guy that's 6'5". Either way, our guys could be from Hampton or Hong Kong, as long as they can play and keep their nose clean, that's all I care about.

I`ll take as many low post guys as we can get, somebody else float around the 3pt line. Give me points down low, rebounds, and good defense and I`ll be happy.

We haven't had a low post scorer since Sneed, though Isiah Brown seems to be developing into a nice one.
