Is this suppose to be like a March Madness selection show? What a joke. This would be the most watched/anticipated sports show ever if they would have enough sense to come up with a playoff. Without that? Waste of time.
I think most are waiting for the Simpsons to start.
I didn't even know they had a selection show.
Football playoff? Of course not! These players/athelets have too much schooling to take the time it would take to participate in a playoff.
You ask, "what about Division II, III, IV, etc.."
It is garbage, Fits the BCS system perfectly.
It won't be on FOX after this year anyway. FOX has gotten out of the BCS business. We can all enjoy the NCAA's cavalcade of rigged matchups and BCS slant exclusively on ABC/ESPN starting next year.
The biggest day in college football was yesterday when the games actually meant something. There is only one game bowl that has any significance.

Whoa! Get out of here with that kind of thinking. Just mentioning the FCS playoffs, Division II playoffs and Division III playoffs is illegal in all 50 states.

Hey, he makes too much sense and the college athletic directors and university presidents do not want to make more money, so let us keep everything the way it is.
I just found out that the BCS hired Ari Fleisher's PR firm to help their image problem. They now have a twitter account called insidethebcs and a website called playoffproblem.com trying to help their case.
The sad thing is nothing's really going to change and the have nots are going to continue to be screwed year after year.

Is not this like the Detroit automakers trying to explain why they lose money? It is simple to understand this, legacy costs killed the goose that laid the golden egg. They have no real desire to let small schols beat the big schools, so they have the BCS formula for the big schools only.
