I thought the game was played at the home stadium of the highest rsnked team. Obviously, I am mistaken. How is the site of the game determined?
i dont think any championship games have anything to do with the rankings. i dont think any conference associates themselves with any particular ranking (other then the BCS ranking).

i dont know for certain, but i assume its decided by the same tiebreaker system that decides who wins each division. since East Carolina has a 7-1 conference record while Houston has a 6-2 conference record, the game is played at ECU
I'm confused too. Why is the Pitt-Cincy game at Pitt If Cincy is undefeated?
I think the Pitt-Cincy game is a regular season game, not a Championship game.

exactly. the big east doesnt have a championship game (having only 8 teams and one division)...this was a regular season game that was scheduled before the season started. it just happened to turn into a conference championship game
O! Alright I got you
A conference has to have 12 members to have a championship game; that won't happen for the Big East until the 2011 season when UAB, ECU, Southern Miss and Houston join.
