The Cadre Building is pretty good a friend of mine had a wedding there
There are alot of rooms at the Peabody
There is also on in the pinch district that I can't remember the name of. EDIT (Balinese Ball Room) Very good venue
There are also spaces on S Main arts district that have party space

If you're not deadset on Downtown the Magnolia Room is a great spot for a party that size.

Flight also has a party room downstairs very nice and wont cost you anything except what you eat and drink.

Central Station also rents space. Maybe the Marriott.

Went to a wedding reception at Central Station in August; had never stepped foot in there in my life before. It was great. The people waiting for trains to Chicago or New Orleans is an added bonus.
