if they win the tournament after losing all of their best players, where does that put Roy on the all time list? I mean, it's pretty obvious he's one of the best recruiters in the country. Not to mention he's also probably the best coach in the NCAA. In fact, he's one of the few real coaches. most of them are just recruiters (calipari, pitino, etc.)
Ha, that is hilarious. Guy has two NC, and his first one came from ditching Kansas for someone else's players. While the program may have struggled some before him, he still inherited a storied program with decades of excellence in performance. UCLA was nothing before Wooden. Williams will need about 4 more championships and many years of continued excellence before he can even be uttered in the same sentence as Wooden. Will it be an impressive coaching demonstration if he pulls it off, yeah. But Wooden exemplified sustained excellence.

huh? i never said he was anywhere near wooden. i said, the best coach after wooden. nowhere in my post did i say he is anywhere near comparable to wooden.
UNC isn't going to win a national championship this year, dude. Syracuse proved that earlier in the season, and the Orange didn't have all their players. UNC won't win the ACC, much less anything bigger, and the ACC isn't even the best basketball conference this season - and by a large margin too...

i didn't say they would. Does anyone read anything i write? I have no true opinion on this, i was merely asking a hypothetical question.

i am curious though. who do you think will win the NC?
Your hypothetical was kind of silly, considering how badly UNC was beaten by a shorthanded Syracuse team. And Syracuse isn't the best team in The BEast this year either...

didn't they beat a good MSU team last night? they have one of the most talented teams in the country, with one of the greatest pure coaches in the country. i think it's definitely possible. you act like one game has anything to do with an other.
MSU isn't in The BEast. The Big Tin pales by comparison... 05-mafia

i think i know what conference they're in. and didn't msu make it to the championship last year, or am i mistaken?
If UNC-Chapel Hill wins the NCAA's this year...I think I will involuntarily hurl from disgust.

so will i. i was just asking
I don't know where it would rank Roy on the list, but it would make all the Wal-Heel fans positively intolerable. I'd probably hear "Dat's right Bo, Care-Oh-Lina is da best! National Champs back-to-back!" about three times before I kicked someone in the head.

Last year is ancient history. This is a new season...

Im really glad you are willing to make such a brash statement over a single game in November.
Since when were you a Carolina fan, Terpy?
Im not I just think its absurd to make such a statement after what may as well be a preseason game.
So? Smack is fun. Besides, UNC may improve over the season to a very good team. But Syracuse, and many other good schools are going to do the same - including Duke...

dude, what the hell is wrong with you? we're not UNC fans! this is simply a sports discussion.

i don't think Duke has the talent to go anywhere, even if they do improve.
Duke isnt going anywhere until K starts recruiting black people again.
