Maybe he's just got a big rebuilding job, maybe his coaching career is apt and maybe Bowling Green is just better than FIU. No matter what, it was a good night for the Falcons. Come to think of it, it was an all-around good day for the MAC! 02-13-banana

FIU is awful.
FIU is very small and needs a lot of rebuilding.

FIU, with over 40,000 students, is the 15th LARGEST university in the country and #4 in Florida.

The basketball team needs building. There is no reason a program with their resources should not be successful quickly.

Why thank you for clarifying something that needed absolutely no clarifying. 03-yawn

One reason might be that Zeke is a horrible coach and leader.

You're right. When you said it was a very small university, I'm sure everyone knew that it was exactly the opposite.

C'mon aksme, you know that when RWTom writes something, it's either correct, or not worth mentioning.

He did however forget to include this: 01-wingedeagle which is a trump card that always proves him to be right. I can't tell if that's a compliment or an oversight.

Go to FIU once..... you'll never go back. Just ask the Toledo guys that went down there for our football game against them this past season.
Miami isn't a basketball community.

The COMBINED average attendance of Miami, FIU, and FAU was 6,235 last year. The Heat are 20th in average attendance in the NBA this year.

I never said it was a small university. The thread is about the basketball program and their loss to BG and the merits of Thomas as their coach. Or at least it used to be until the thread police got involved.

And since when does the size of a university have anything to do with the success of their basketball program anyway? Duke has an enrollment of just over 11,000 for example.

And DT, you sir can blow me! 03-phew

And the lacrosse team had 24 xxx undergrads.

With grad students and professionals the total enrollment per their website is 13,662 for the fall of 2009.

The site I grabbed the other figure from was apparently using figures from a few years ago.
