Also, a team we beat by double-digits on the road, Oregon State, is ranked #16.
Pitt would win the big ten but they are 15. Big ten teams are 4 - 9 against other bcs teams this season. (Big East is 9 - 7 against other bcs teams)...just sayin'
so pitt loses to a team they now consider top 25 on the road by 3 on the last play of the game and they come in at 15. but va tech with 3 losses is just outside top 10? and byu is ahead of them....ridiculous.
3 Big Ten teams in the Top 10 is such a joke. Everyone knows the conference is weak, yet they put three teams in the Top 10, and drop Pitt behind Virginia Tech, BYU, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State (who has a terrible schedule, and lost to the two decent teams they have played, Iowa and Ohio State), etc. Ridiculous.
I think Boise would beat us if we played.
Looks like the coaches are setting it up so , without question, the BCS equation spits out Iowa or Penn State into a BCS bowl...all about the cash...really freaking sad.

Their defense may be worse than ours....I'd take UC in that bet.

i dont. boise plays no one (except one game). their defense would not stop uc. and i think uc would put pressure on moore than he gets in the wac and he isnt that good with pressure. no overly powerful back and i dont think they are overly fast.

i think uc wins at least 7-8 times out of 10.

big ten is a joke, but that tradition...yep love that big ten.
Why do I have a feeling Oregon St winning does us little and lots for the Big Ten?

.......I can't remember the last time I saw UC get pressure on any opposing QB. Must have been earlier in the season, because the defense sucks of late.
How in the HELL is Iowa 10th? THEY EFING LOST TO NORTHWESTERN......who lost to syracuse for gawd sake. They beat ark st and UNI by just a few points each....I DON'T GET IT.

Ohio state???/ THEY LOST TO PURDUE. How are they 7th. We wouldn't be CLOSE to the top 15 had we lost Purdue this year....

Same argument can be made for Pitt, who lost to NC State...
Well, when there are 6 teams that are undefeated and no teams that have just 1 loss, some teams will move up in the polls even with some bad losses.
True but....the Pitt loss was early in the season...Iowa and Ohio St losses were not.....in addition, Pitt lost a close game to their biggest rival and dropped out of the Top 15......and that same team is at least ranked now....Northwestern isn't ranked. Purdue isn't ranked......
Va Tech 9-3 and ranked 11th? Please......
I totally agree. No way OSU's resume is better than Pitt's. So how are they ranked so much higher? I hope everyone is ready for the flood of backlash we will get (undeservedly) if we lose to Pitt, because we will drop to about 15th and OSU will be 5 - 7th. Once again, I'd like to hear coach's explanations for how OSU with 2 losses including one to unranked Purdue, ends up higher than UC with one loss to a (probable) top 10 ranked Pitt.

Man do we need to beat Pitt.
At this point in the season... the difference between 10th and 20th is kinda moot. Ok... it really starts at thirteen. this is bowl selection week. That means selection folks are looking at a team's fan base and marketability of air time. That's not the case for Cincy so much because the cats are bcs pretty much eating sugar beets regardless of the 5th's outcome. worrying about numbers on the chart that don't have anything to do with BCS bids won't get you far. from here on out... it's conference agreements/tie-ins and potential revenue. I'm just glad we got beyond the BCS rule #4 and the Gator selection rule.

Agreed - plus the Suckeyes will be Ohio's only BCS team if UC loses to Pitt. Quite simply, with so much riding on the game, Dec. 5th in Heinz Field will be the biggest regular season game in UC's history.

They might. I think in any game between the fifth and sixth best teams in the country, either one could win. I actually think it would be a really fun game to watch. I'd much rather watch that rather than Alabama v. UC.
