get away with this Saturday? We all know how you eagles like to go for the knees. 05-stirthepot

This should get the party cranked up.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaambulance!
Couldn't we wait until after the game to start whining?

I tell you Scourge, you have been all over the ECU board whining about this and about Fedora being a Douche. Of course considering that ECU is USM's ***** and if ECU wins the next five games, they will still be USM's *****, I guess I can understand your whining and crying....05-stirthepot

That should work too.
I was just commenting on Miss Southern's illegal blocking or the "cut block" as you guys like to call it. You know, where your guys are over-matched, so instead of facing off like a man, you guys try to take out a better player's knee b/c you can't beat him straight up.

I am not Scourge. However, I agree with his assesment that your coach is a douche. Probably the king of the douche-bags. Kinda like how the island of misfit toys has a king.

No, you are definitely Scourge. No doubt about that. I guess when you have had your asses handed to you as many times as USM has whipped EZU all over the field, finding reasons to whine about losing yet again is understandable. If USM wins this year, no doubt you will have your whiny ass excuses ready to roll. It is what you are all about.05-stirthepot
A cut block involves a block below the knees, most often used by offensive linemen against defensive linemen and linebackers. Two players double-teaming a defensive player, one blocking high and one blocking low is called a chop block, which is illegal because it can lead to injury.

In other words:
Cut block = good. everyone uses it.
Chop block = bad. 15 yard penalty

Chop Block (Rule 2-3-3). The definition of the chop block has been simplified to assist in the understanding of this rule and to encourage more consistent officiating. A chop block is now defined as a high-low or low-high combination block by any two players against an opponent (other than the runner) anywhere on the field, with or without a delay between contacts. The “low” component is at the opponent’s thigh or below. A dangerous action that can lead to serious injury, the chop block is a personal foul that carries a 15-yard penalty
See ya later smack board
I think the over and under on cut blocks has been set at 6.

Buy sell???[/align]
I think the Miss Southern strategy may even require it's own special name. How about the over-matched USM knee block? Or......the eagle ACL? Feel free to come up with your own special name.

Again, I am really not Scourge - I just agree with him that you birds are dirty.
Well I was thinking that it would be tough for us to win this game. However, since ECU fans are already starting the excuses train, perhaps I'm wrong.

We should help out the ECU faithful and give them a list of excuses to pick from.

Oh - you guys think I am coming up with excuses? Nah, I know we will win. I was just wondering what the dirty bird strategy would be for your inevitable loss. As far as the game, your going to get your arses kicked no matter how dirty you birds try to get. No amount of hair gel can save you this Saturday.

That will make you what, 3-15 at home against us?

Well, DeAndre Brown streaking down the field for a 97 yard TD has how much to do with cut blocking?

I mean, it doesn't matter what happens if your secondary STILL can't catch a 6'6" 240 lb WR. Much less try and tackle him.

Matter of fact, I want to see what your DBs do if they try and tackle DeAndre 1-1. I'll put my week's paycheck that they go for his knee and/or lower leg.

Don't leave out the crack back block, though formally called illegal cut block. A player coming towards the inside from outside the hash marks (I think) to block someone low. I think that about covers it. Cutting, while legal, if done in a certain way purposely is dirty.

Stop wasting your time, you can't expect him to know the rules. He wears purple.

It's not that they don't understand the rule. Some of them understand, and still think that ECU is above cut blocking. ECU does it too guys.
Okay I went and watch 1 youtube video of ECU playing Va Tech, and found several low hits by ECU.
We have a low hit at 4:27
a cut block at 4:34 & 4:42
a cut block at 6:23
and another angle at 6:39
nothing was illegal in any of that, but it did happen.
