That must have been the cause for a lot of consternation on that board.
Don't worry ATLdawg will be here shortly to tell us all about how Louisiana Tech is better than every team in the Sun Belt, despite records.

Don't forget guys, La Tech is much better than their record would indicate and Troy and MT especially are not nearly as good as our records would indicate.
The AP doesn't rank past 25. You can extrapolate that to about 35 or so, depending on the "others receiving votes" section. I'm not sure where these ranking are coming from.

It's really kind of pointless too. Does it really matter who's better out of a 4-8 Sun Belt team versus a 3-9 SEC team? Or a 3-9 WAC team versus a 2-10 Pac 10 team?

I just don't see the point in ranking teams with losing records.

I think this is CBS Sportsline rankings.

Most computer rankings have Tech ahead of ULL, ULM, and Tulane.

Certainly not the AP, they don't rank programs beyond top 25 or 30. Most give Tech a slight edge because of slightly higher Conference RPI rating; other then that, there is not much seperation.

OP is a mix I guess. LSU from the AP and the rest from CBS. Glad we figured that out. . . 03-wink

Zee, if Boise State gets their wish and moves on to the Mountain West Conference, the WAC will be nothing more then the SBC or MAC. All you will have is a collection of former Big West and Sun Belt Conference members, and no Boise St. bowl money or RPI lift on their conference.

If Boise leaves, I think Tech would try to makes it case to the Sun Belt for entry. Unless Houston joined Boise and a spot opened up in CUSA. Most likely, nothing will happen.
Even if a spot opened in Conf USA, there is nothing to say that La Neck would get it.

No doubt. They don't seem to be real interested in Tech's market (or lack thereof).
Lets face it. This year we all suck!

Ditto for FAU,

My kingdom for a DC that understands the concept of STOPPING a mobile QB offense when almost every team in the confrence runs it.

Oh well theres always next year.
