Sherwood Forest made front page news in the CA on Sunday. The article focused on the neighborhood and the efforts it is making to revitalize and rehabilitate a neighborhood that is down, but not out.

I was really happy to see this article. The neighborhood needs a facelift and a shot in the arm. I have seen a few residents making improvements, on their own, and even a resident buying a home two doors down and remodeling it (on Carrington). If I had the money I'd buy every available property and bring this neighborhood back myself.
I live on Goodman near Healy. I liked your other thread about our neighborhood...I assume you ended up moving into the area?

I did end up buying on Huntingdon. Been there about over a year. I really like it here. Getting to know all your neighbors really helps.
I am heavily involved in the Association. I am very happy that Cooper Young CDC is helping us out. It's ambitious and exciting. We are also going to be partnering with the Memphis Home Builder's Association on a project as well.
This neighborhood has a tremendous amount of potential.
