Wow he was incredible against WVU. He might not have the straightline speed of Devine or Dion Lewis but neither can cut like Isaiah. Go back and watch the first 50 yard run Isaiah had against WVU. He juked the corner out of his shoes. In space it seems like it is impossible to take him down. No question in my mind that he could get to 1500 rushing yards next year with him as the feature back.
He is special. His running style reminds me a bit of James Brooks, even though his go to move is completely different. If he could learn to pass block like JB, that would be awesome.
If Brian Kelly is the coach for the next two season Pead's numbers probably won't be as good as they could be because Kelly throws it so much.
Pead has been the target for some throws this year. He needs to get better at receiving the ball on horizontal routes.

Kelly will use the best weapons he has. If Pead is his best weapon, he will use him.
He is already EXTREMELY good... maybe under-utilized. Technically one of the most efficient back in the country at 6.8 ypc. Good hands for receiving.

The last few weeks some of his best runs have been cut short by his own two feet. He keeps getting tangled up. At the end of the first long run against WVU I'm pretty sure he wasn't brought down by a defender.

Love watching him hit the cutback lanes.

I know that. But If Kelly is the coach, I'd think the best weapons would be the recievers. Binns, Hazelton, Woods, Dyjuan Lewis(As soon as Kelly announces he's staying). And with Collaros having an offseason to learn the offense, I would think Kelly would be very confident in throwing. Pead will get his 10-15 carries a game though.
I think we average about 30 runs a game this year. No reason Pead can't get 20 of those next year.

I really doubt that. But we'll see.

He had 18 with Ramsey out this weekend.

I would expect Darrin Williams' role to expand and John Goebel to get 3-5 carries a game.
Pead is going to be a huge part of the offense next year, he has to be. The offense with Zach playing QB isn't going to be very much like the Tony Pike spread and shred version. Zach doesn't have the quick release, arm, accuracy or most importantly the height to sit back in the pocket and throw 10 15 and 20 timing routes like Pike. With Collaros it's all about getting him on the edge with a run/pass option because he is so athletic and throws so well on the move. We have seen more two tight end sets in the past two weeks than we did in the previous 36 games and that has served two purposes. 1 it provides more in line blockers for the inside and outside zone plus the zone read and QB power and draw plays. 2 it makes the play action off those looks more successful. How many times in the past two weeks have we seen Robinson or Alli running wide open across the middle of the field on deep crossing patterns. The offense next year is going to be more like what we have seen against UConn and WVU and Pead will be a huge part of it.

Right. I think the point is that Kelly has proven to be masterful at maximizing the utility out of his players, offensively. Unlike Tressel at OSU (or a lot of other coaches), BK will change the offense based on the best chance to win. He's not blindly pass-happy.
I wouldn't rotate any tailback with Pead. He deserves all the carries so he can get into a rhythm.

He has by far the most talent of any RB I've seen at UC in a long time. He has incredible lateral quickness and shiftiness, and what's most impressive is he can shift while still going at full speed.

There was a reason the kid had 20+ offers out of high school. Big-time football talent.

Pead reminds me of Brooks also.
Pead, Woods and Collaros are all sophmores. Mix in Binns, Robinson, Howard and Hazelton and the offensive skill positions will be as good as any school in the country next season.
And Kay has looked pretty good in the few snaps he has gotten. Who is next in line at Linkenbach's spot?
18 sounds like a good number. I really wouldn't take him over 20 carries. Its pretty easy to look around college or NFL FB and see what happens to heavily utilized RB's.
He completely buckled UCONN's safety on the final TD run to win the game. Pead is nasty.
