Found this on the Gator Sports Forum. There are no glowing comments in favor of Bobby Bowden. Instead it is rather frightening.

Why would Florida have anything positive to say about Bobby Bowden?
Why would Florida fans speak glowingly of Bobby Bowden?

Oops--sorry--we must have typed at the same time!
Florida Hates FSU, that's nothing new.
NTR.

What is next...links to Oklahoma fans dumping on Texas?
It is a message board story about an 80 year old man who has waited too long to retire - where is the negative content about his character, coaching ability or success?

The story indicates that he is now impaired - the same thing happened to Woodrow Wilson and Ronald Reagan at the end of their terms as Presidents - did that make them bad Presidents?

It would make them poor choices for another term.
And besides all that, what's Bobby Bowden got to do with Memphis?

No they weren't bad Presidents. But one has to wonder why is this on a Memphis Tiger message board? Maybe the lady is suffering from what the coach is suffering from and got her message boards all screwed up?!?!

Very good - and what does Bobby Bowden's growing senility have to do with the Memphis coaching search - unless at Memphis any candidate whose father became impaired by old age is unfit to be the head football coach.
So...how do Louisville fans feel about Bruce Pearl and what about....never mind.

You got me there. I have no idea.

Ok, maybe I read your link too hastily, but isn't this just Florida fans and not the "University of Florida"?

Big difference between the two. Did I miss something?
If we are hanging our hopes on getting daddy's rejects, it concerns us.

Reminds me of a professor I had at Memphis who was a Florida grad. He took time out of class one day recite his favorite chant concerning the Seminoles :

" Hey you, FSU
Where the girls are girls and the guys are too
Pink and Blue; We love you "

Not sure what that had to do with a science class but it was humorous.

Well, why would we need to know what Florida fans think of a rival coach? Of coure they're going to badmouth him.

It's like asking a UT fan's opinion of Coach Pastner.

Yes, not saying it doesn't concern us.

Your thread title was a little misleading.
I don't trust anything Florida Fans have to say about a rival coach. Bobby Bowden is one of the winningest college coaches of all time. And by the way, we already have a FSU reject on our team and didn't hear anyone complaining about adding Marcus Ball. Coach Bowden is old and will most likely retire this year, and trust me if Memphis could have any of the so called "rejects" that Terry currently has at North Alabama we would be in VERY good shape. Don't see why anyone would need to trash a man like Bobby Bowden.
I was on the Florida Board looking for info on Tarik Black's visit to Florida when I found the link. I remembered some on our Board mentioning if we hired the Bowden Brother's, we would get the daddy's rejects and that the father may be hired as a consultant or something. Just thought those who would be making a decision might want to know. Nothing more than that. There was no intent to criticize Mr. Bowden, my father had Alzheimer's, I know the pain it causes a family.
