OMG, true story, kid is raised by one man as his dad, another gentleman has a DNA test and it's determined that he's the dad( this is in August) , kid tells me, I like to spin things in a positive manor and tell him he's blessed to have 2 dads. I've never told you this, but you are truly Blessed for helping kids the way you do. I haven't seen it all, but I've seen you on multiple occasions, spend your OWN FREAKIN' MONEY to help kids that need help. Not all highly publicized/recruited players either. I've seen you deal with insatiable dads (who think they know hoops more than you), momma's that complain because their sons - who play like they have two left hands - complain that their sons don't play enough. Uncles, cousins, etc. all come out of the woodwork to yell at the coach...the same coach who's won titles and knows what he's doing.

You've been through a lot, my man, and I really truly appreciate you. Everytime I hear about the "AAU coaches" and the bad rep they get...well, some of 'em deserve that rep. But there are others who bust their butt to help kids. You are one of the latter, not the former. Unfortunately your story isn't sexy...you won't get a movie about you taking in some unfortunate black kid who happens to turn into a football star. But in many ways, you're a star of your own right.

As for me, I'm the wrong guy to ask about recruiting. All my contacts are second-hand. I do talk to Josh regularly, but we don't discuss recruiting.

Brooks and Keith are the recruiting experts. In fact, Brooks is my best source, lol. In football, I actually have more contacts than I do in basketball, but nothing tied directly to the coaching staff, like I do in basketball.

If you just listen to what KE, Brooks and Tug have to say about basketball recruiting, and ignore most others, you'll be fine.
