That is interesting. Rollie was the coach. How the heck can you win a national title and end up coaching a naia school. If Jerry is right and steve leaves after this year, can we hire Rollie?

Steve won't be leaving after this year, and Rollie is older than I am. I thought he was in an assisted living home by now.

I thought he was gone either way. Make the tourney and get better job or not make the tournament and be sent packing. When did that change?

I agree that Isiah's strategy was to make UNC come in overconfident.

No. Win tournament and maybe offered a bigger job. Not win the tournament. Safe for another year at least, or maybe more. You'll have to talk with Chris about that. I'm not concerned with things over which I have no control. I'm just hoping for a good season. If we don't make the tournament, I'll root for Western or Gonzaga or Davidson, or some other mid major who does.

Agreed. Coach Shields will be here for as long as Coach Shields chooses to be here.
