zips move to 1-6 with the only win over a 1-aa team.the clock is ticking
on jd's tenure at akron.i would think he will finish the season, but will be gone after that.
They have quite a bit of experience on his staff, do you think they'll promote one of them to the head gig?
i guess that's a possibilty.we have a new a.d.;so don't know how that will play into the hiring decision.not sure if walt harris even wants the job though.i thought he has done a good job with our qb's now.considering were down to our 3rd qb walt has done a good job with him.i like jd as a person, and the program has been run without alott of
off filed issues.i think after four losing seasons in a row it's time for a change.i think most zip fans feel the same way.the u of president
has a new 60 million dollar stadium, and needs people in the seats to pay for it.
I'd say that Akron was one of the most underachieving programs in the league over the past few years. Not surprised if JD is gone.

They now have the best facilities in the league. Time to leverage that. A fresh face in charge might be just the tonic needed.

RACER, I'd give that little more thought.
i am talking over his entire time at the university.they suspended the qb for the season.there was also some alleged recruting issues with one coach, but nobody can tell me what they were?
i would not be suprised if the coach wanted out of akron anyways; since it's a sinking ship.im no fan of jd,and hope he is gone after the season.at the same time he seems to be a honest guy.what other things have happened? he will be gone because of his record.
we have a new stadium, and your not going to pay for it with 8,000
fans at the games.
