Quote:OXFORD, Ohio – DeMarcus Grady will start today at quarterback for Northern Illinois against Miami (Ohio), the Daily Chronicle has learned.

Sophomore quarterback Chandler Harnish was listed as questionable with a right knee injury and will not start.

This will be Grady's second career start, his first coming last season against the RedHawks. Grady, a sophomore, is 1 of 4 for 8 yards passing this season and has nine rushes for 45 yards.
Grady is going to break out today!
Kill has been so quiet on Harnish's injury that it makes for little surprise he's not starting and Grady is getting the nod.

I'm wondering how much longer they can keep this quiet. My guess is Harnish is out for multiple games like last year.
Yeah it didn't seem like Harnish was questionable, it was pretty obvious who was starting today. Hopefully Grady will give us some more big play ability.

Must win today.

If that's the case we have 4 games coming up that Grady...and even Morris...can start and win. So being safe with Harnish is the way to go.

Easy there.

Getting a lead early is now more important than ever.

Remember, Harnish was out multiple games last season with only a bad sprain. I understand ankle sprains can be pretty painful and linger due to the stretching of ligaments but this is a knee injury we're talking about.

Indeed, this is the right time for Grady to play. These next four games can really help his development if Harnish cannot come back for a while.
MEco Brown rushes 20 times for 47 yards; Spann rushes 5 times for 31 yards; Grady rushes 8 times for 55 yards and throws 20 times and completes 11 for 68 yards and throws 1 interception. We also lose a fumble and lose 21-17. After the game Kill says we played a good team, our guys tried hard, we just didn't make plays. Of course he makes no mention of how e.g., Spann, or Lewis or Anderson are supposed to make plays from the bench.
I am hearing Harnish out for 2-3 weeks. Oh, napalm out as well. Not due to injury.

He's like Hurd and Powers without all the talent.
I'm hearing Huskies used to pull for each other - seniors coaching up freshmen and the like, and now its every man for himself.

Kill ball.
As always, I'll be hosting a no BS/NIJ-free chat over on RABA for anybody interested:

Quote:A few other roster tidbits: Jake Coffman is listed as the first-string nose guard and Justin Anderson is the backup fullback (Flahive out).
It's game time.
