Let's call him "Hollywood".

Love that kid. If he can develop a jumper he will be VERY dangerous.

17 points, 7 reb, 1 ast, 1 to, 1 stl. Not bad for a soph.
i love delaney b/c he takes it to the hole strong. swish & squeaky try to float the ball. paul just takes it up hard and draws the foul.
Delaney is also 6'4" and probably has a 40" vertical. Swish and Squeaky's runners are very effective and lead to easy offensive rebounds if they don't go in. Tony Parker of the Spurs is the master of the runner. It's a good shot.
Since we already have a "Swish", if Squeaky weren't already "Squeaky" I'd vote for calling him "Dish". 04-rock
Every time I see him play I call him DAAYUUUUM or OOH SHH*****T!
hahahaha ain't that the truth, espically when is finishing off a dunk in someones face
I think his nick should be Slash cause he Slashes to the rack better than anyone on the team ( with Wen coming as a close second).

Then I can only imagine what you were calling my man Rodney Carney with his sick dunks.

See this is smack talking. This thread had nothing to do with Carney.

Understand?

Really? I thought it was relevant because whatever it was last night that you guys saw from Delaney, I didn't see. Maybe it's because I didn't know who he was. Maybe it's because he only had 4 buckets. Or maybe it's because I'm not a UAB fan. Who knows.

I couldn't even tell you which one Delaney was and I was at the game. As a matter of fact, if you asked me to name UAB's best players, I would say (in no particular order) Squeaky, McDonald and Eddins (I know he's out now). I just looked up the stats and saw that Delaney is #4. I think he had one or two dunks last night, maybe one on the last bucket of the game? But nothing really stands out other than his FT shooting. He was 9-for-9 on FTs. Knowing that, I now remember him as the guy with the very odd FT release (kind from behind/above his head). We were shocked that he was a good FT shooter. After seeing the first few I thought they were flukes & that he'd miss more than he made. After about 5 of them I realized that, despite the unorthodox release, he swished every single FT.

But I bet you remember two of Rodney Carney's dunks. That's why I thought it was relevant.

Is this reply considered smack, too? And I'm being serious.

He actually didn't have as many from what I saw as he usually does, but i've seen him do amazing things with the ball that I didn't even know was possible. I think I only tuned in to see one of Carney's...at the end (was that him?) with the "insult dunk?" I thought ours immediately following was much better, but that's probably because I'm a Blazer. And I like to see people come in with enough speed that they have to swing off the basket.
Oh brother............. 03-melodramatic

I don't think that was smack.

What would a UAB fan call it? Lucky bastige. ;-)
Well I know what I was calling him the whole game... "Dang" Delaney...the kid played very well...

Even his dunks are sick? Maybe if he had cleaned the bong he would not have gotten sick. I can see how the respiratory illnesses spread rapidly through the Memphis team.
