Cudos to Mr. Chavez!!! He understands that holding the citizens to a strictly agrarian economy subsidized by government oil money is a sure route to prosperity. The use of land for recreational purposes should be reserved for football only. Mr Chavez should now allow the drinking of whiskey to only the working class. We all know that they deserve to be rewarded with after work libations after working to further the glory of the state.
Man...I really admire President Chavez for standing up to the elites. They have never done a damn thing for the country except exploit the working class. These silly golfing courses are a perfect example of their arrogance and exploitation of both the people and the land.

As far as providing employment Etc. for the locals. Perhaps it does, but at a high cost of almost any other productive use the land could be put to serving many more people than it does as a golf course.
