what the announced attendance will be for the Memphis game? or the real attendance? I don't have a feel for it.

I would hope there would be at least 10,000 there, since the Memphis crowd travels pretty well. They had a great representation when they played here in the NCAA tournament. And certainly there will be some local folks who might go out to see the game because it's Memphis. Maybe some will become UALR fans. I was looking forward to seeing Will Coleman, but he was supposed to be wearing our jersey.03-melodramatic
I think that 10,000 is probably about right. We'll have our regular 3,000, plus 2,000 "casual" locals that want to see Memphis, plus 5,000 from Memphis.
What is the lower level capacity at Alltel (or whatever it is called now)?
Total is 16,000. I suspect there are 10,000 to 11,000 in lower bowl.

Alltel seats 18,000 for basketball. I was pretty sure there were 8,000 seats in the lower bowl, but don't hold me to that. Actually that may be for the Twisters, so basketball can get a few more on the floor.

With Calapari, thought 15,000 was attainable. I don't think Memphis will bring nearly what they would have. I'd be thrilled with a "true" 8,000 which would fill the lower bowl. I'd be surprised if we have to open the upper deck curtain. Hope I'm wrong on that.

The fact that we were pushing hard to move it to Stephens, after Calipari left, leads me to believe that our administration isn't expecting more than 6000.
18,000 does sound right. But is there really more seating in the upper deck than the lower bowl? Sure thought it was the other way around. But then again, I thought it held 16,000.

If Memphis is having a good season, at minimum 10,000. Their fans travel well and they have a vast number of fans and alumni in Little Rock and northeastern Arkansas. Add the fact this is a weekend game too.

Unfortunately, if the crowd is over 10,000, UALR fans will be outnumbered.

Do you have any concrete information that their fans travel well? This is the first year the Conference USA tournament is not in Memphis that I can remember. I really have no clue how their fans typically travel. I was thinking they would bring 2000-2500, at best, with Calapari gone. Hope I'm wrong.
