Sad day. Condolences to the young man's family, friends and everyone at USM.
You hate to see stuff like that happen...

Somebody in his family should have taught him about gun safety. You never point a loaded weapon at yourself, even if the safety is on...

Very sad news indeed. I'm very interested in learning what happened.
My condolences to Peter's family, and the USM family as well 03-weeping
foxsports.com has article saying he is still alive with a "irrecoverable injury" Does that mean he is in a coma or something.

I hope he can survive this. My prayers are with him and his family and also USM. I'd like to see USM to go 3 and out and this kid punt the ball sometime in the future.

I'd say there was irrepairable brain damage, due to a lead projectile passing through the skull. But that's just an educated guess...
