So you give a speech in April, bow and submit to foreign dictators?
Not surprising.

So he joins Al Gore, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN, Jimmy Carter, and Yassar Arafat as members of that elite club. I don't see anything unusual in this selection and I hold a similar opinion about all of them.
Rumor over at the Spin Room is that ACORN stuffed the ballot box.
He did what exactly?

The Costanza Presidency marches on.

The real WHAT THE? in this is that he had to be nominated by February 1st of this year.

Let me see...when was he inaugurated? Hm...oh, that's right! January 20th of this year. That would make it...remarkable that in the first TWELVE DAYS of his presidency he brought world peace just by being alive.

Ain't it grand? This whole Nobel prize thing has become such a leftist political sham that it has little resemblance to its original intent. The committee is hand selected, so if you kiss butt with the euros et al and say what they want to hear you are in the club! Witness: Algorge's 'ability' to qualify. Apparently standards are very low these days.

But then, we all know that it's not what you do that's important anymore, it's what you say that matters.

I suggest if the one world order is so happy with Barry that when - not if - the next crisis happens that they defend themselves and hold onto that protuding posterior area with both hands and take care of themselves. Or kiss it goodbye. We all know how much intestinal fortitude this beta male has. Let's see: deal with Afghanistan or go to make a plea for a potential payday for his slumlord advisor to rake in millions...hmmm. France it is!

Nobel Prize anymore = 03-puke
And the Nobel for Best Supporting Actor goes to.....

Cass Sunstein or Van Jones?
More I think about it, the Annointed One should absolutely hate this. The sheer humor of him getting this award hurts him in vastly more moderate and independent's eyes than it helps. Reinforces the reasonable belief that he is held up more for what he looks like and what he represents than anything of substance he has accomplished (which admittedly aint' much).
This may be the funniest thing ever. I saw this on drudge and nearly spit out my diet coke. I wouldn't mind if President Obama had actually accomplished something, but he hasn't. I asked a couple voters of his what they thought about it. Like many, their answer was basically "for what?".
Grab the trophy and then Immediately send more Troops to Afghanistan!!!
Beck will probably accuse me of liberal bashing, but what the hell.

So a man that refuses to meet with the Dhalai Llama because he's afraid to upset China is awarded the Peace Prize?

A man that wasn't even office for a month when the voting had to be turned in was far more deserving than somebody like Greg Mortenson who's been risking his life to build schools all over Pakistan and Afghanistan and bring some education to the people there?

Outstanding!
I have to ask the question - Why?

I don't care if you bash liberals, I just wish you would hold the GOP responsible for its share in screwing the US up and stop blaming everybody else. Bu$h put Obama in the WH, not ACORN.
Live with it.
Hold yourself accountable. You helped put this hack in office. Now make him actually do something.

Wow does this make me feel good about myself 03-banghead
Actually, I put Obama in the White House. Beck told me it would be fun what with all of the Obamas' off-the-wall friends dropping by for some goofy shenanigans and zany antics.

That is for sure the last time I will listen to Beck. He voted straight Democrat, you know. I had to go in the booth with him because he has trouble with big words, and the time before last he took his chad out and let it hang there for everyone to see. Not good I tell you.

I was wrong, OK?

I'm not bashing liberals...I'm bashing you in particular...cowards who hide under rocks and won't say what they stand for don't deserve the time of day or the effort and energy it would take to emasculate them...

Quote:GOP Rep. Gresham Barrett, who is running for governor of South Carolina, mocked Obama's prize. "I'm not sure what the international community loved best; his waffling on Afghanistan, pulling defense missiles out of Eastern Europe, turning his back on freedom fighters in Honduras, coddling Castro, siding with Palestinians against Israel, or almost getting tough on Iran," Barrett said.

Several commentators challenged the value of the Peace Prize, noting that Palestinian President Yasser Arafat shared it in 1994.

"What's Obama done?" asked Rick Moran in his blog on American Thinker, a strong advocate of Israel. "What peace has he negotiated? ... I suppose an organization that thought Yasser Arafat worthy of the same prize can't be taken seriously anyway. But they are."

Erick Erickson, writing on the conservative RedState.com, suggested Obama won in part because he is black.

"I did not realize the Nobel Peace Prize had an affirmative action quota for it, but that is the only thing I can think of for this news," Erickson wrote. "There is no way Barack Obama earned it in the nominations period."

Obama himself said he felt humbled and undeserving, declaring in a Rose Garden statement: "I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments."

The reaction was only slightly warmer on some liberal Web sites, where writers said Obama should end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan before being awarded such a prize.

Everyone is missing the boat.

In the 10 days he was in office before being nominated, he showed great courage and vision wrestling with that terribly huge decision of what type of dog to buy as the white house pet. That's leadership on a world-wide scale. Justly deserved.

Now take the million bucks in prize $$ and let Michele aka "Imelda" fly to Europe to buy a new wardrobe as a reward for all her personal sacrifice in Coppenhaggen.
