My Owls went down a bunch in the first half and we played well to keep it to a 7 point game.
Marvett McDonald killed us in the first half with his fantastic range. Hit a couple of NBA threes and we never really recovered.
UAB's press was well executed. It seems like everyone of your players has quicks to press the ball.
Morris is a great player and will be all conference and maybe maybe player of the year, but he can't do it alone. We needed someone else to step up and while our forward JR Harrison scored a bit, it wasnt enough.
Rebounding and turnovers lost the game for us. But UAB had a lot to do with those factors.
Good win. You guys are the class of the conference along with Memphis. You should kick the snot out of UH. They cannot shoot fish in a dry box.
And I hope they still cant a shoot a fish in a dry box when they come to Bartow lmfao
Good game by Rice. Though I didnt see him, Almond sounded very impressive.
Listened on the radio, and I doubt I'm the only Blazer fan who breathed a sigh of relief when Almond fouled out.

Missed FT's were the only reason the game appeared to be as close as the score indicated. I watched the game and for the most part UAB brutalize Rice with their press. Especially in the 2nd half. The UAB for some reason went into cruise control after getting a 21 pt lead on the Owls.
You said Squeaky is mentally challange which shows your idoitic mentality. You do have a nice PG but Sqeaky is a special player for UAB. Keep your snide comments about him on the some other board.

I've always thought the argument was funny.....
if we made more free throws we would have won/won by more/not lost by as much....whatever.
So if rice had hit more of his field goals, they would have beaten UAB. Let me see if I can work this out......who ever scores the most points wins.
You played the best your team could play last night, unless you want to argue that any of your players purposely tanked their game. Nobody on your team hits 100% of his free throws and the ones they missed last night were the ones, over a season, he would have always missed.

None of us are trying to take anything away from yall. This is a complaint we have had with our team all year. If they don't shoot the free throws better which shouldn't be difficult because they're "free" we will lose the close games. It's one of the reasons we lost to Western Kentucky.
I think the principal reason we lost to WKU was that they were draining 3's all over the place and werent missing too many 2's either..

UAB is a pressing and running team (organise chaos)
UAB is terrible when they try to play half court or milk the clock like they did when we were in front by 20
if UAB is fall all the time , they don't have the organise chaos
For some strange reason , They shoot better ft if they were fall during acting shooting instead or getting fall just after catching the ball far away the basket

Flying Owl, someone should have warned you. Civil discourse is as foreign as the Basque language to most UAB fans. If you want to post anything about UAB it should be something to this effect, "UAB is the best team I have ever seen. Mike Anderson is the best coach I have ever seen." Anything else is unacceptable.

Maybe I should had said "missed FT's down the stretch" Flying Owl. UAB went 2-8 when you guys started fouling us. Yes missed FT's are part of the game and if hit our FT's
down the stretch this game isn't as close as it appeared on the scoreboard. That's all I'm saying.
