With 3 steals tonight, Squeaky became the #2 on all time steals in UAB history. He has 193 and needs 45 to pass Stanley Jackson at 237. With 12 regular season games, plus probably at least a minimum of 4 post season games, he needs to average 2.8 steals a game to become #1.
I think he can make it, especially against CUSA competition.
That would be some accomplishment if Squeaky could pull it off. He is amazing!
I believe he's averaging about 3 steals per game and there's about 12 regular-season games left, so that'd put him at needing around 9-10 more steals in the post-season to claim the lead. Of course, if he improves on his average, it could happen before that.

Squeaky is also 9th nationally in assists/game at 6.4. Our highest producing point guard since Jack Kramer.
The top 3 teams in steals/game are all C-USA: Houston, UAB and Tulsa.
