And around we go. Apparently, Raudabaugh wasn't making enough happen. Dysert is more of a two-way threat (air and ground).

That's an overdue move, IMHO. Miami's offense hasn't had a solid QB at the helm in several years, and I was having a hard time believing Raudabaugh is the best talent on that roster.

I called that months ago, there was no way Raudabaugh was going to make...

I was doing MAC Smack at the time, decided it was too much work..

"If you had asked me a few months ago I would have thought Miami would be going with a different starter but Clay Belton getting injured this spring resolved any budding quarterback controversy. I still think there is a decent chance you won't face Raudabaugh."

FYI, Belton transferred to Maryland: http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/c...nsfer.html
I was impressed with Dysert seeing him play he was by far more accurate. Also he has a few years to play look at the team right now there is a ZERO % CHANCE OF A BOWL GAME. Take out the senior get the younger players time to be a contender next year. Dysert was far more accurate and had the threat of running.
Could Miami also switch the rest of the team, say, with the other Miami?

Their newspaper wouldn't notice if they did.
Oh, I would say DR made a lot happen, none of it good for Miami.

yeah...i'm gonna miss him! 03-lmfao
I actually thought that DR only made what I would call 1 terrible pass in the game with Western. Of course it got picked. Here is the real reason for the switch......Radabaugh isn't a statue, but also isn't what I would call a "running threat". Miami's offensive line is soo horrible that DR basically takes a pounding. Dysert has more "escape-ability" which means he has a better chance of making something positive happen while running for his life.
I like Miami, always have, and hope they get off the ground sooner rather than later in the MAC East.

However, I think this local newspaper's exhuberance should be calmed down a bit...

Quote:OXFORD — All it took was one touchdown. Then all of a sudden nobody could stop the Miami RedHawks.

Daniel Raudabaugh’s 14-yard touchdown pass to Eugene Harris with 7:09 left in the third quarter started a scoring frenzy for the RedHawks, who were transformed into an offensive machine.

Easy there, partner. 03-drunk

Miami may indeed be finding some offensive rhythm. But let's wait and see how the RedHawks perform when the opposing team is not already up 48-6 before getting too excited...
The new coach lets the experienced player start the year and take the pounding from a few BCS teams. Now with no pre-conceived loyalties, he is going with the youngster, and Dysert looked very good and in awful conditions against Kent State.
