Heard about Heavy Rain for Saturday's game...
It won't help attendance, but it will help our running game.
Perhaps it will clear out before game time.
not looking too promising from Fri nite thru Sunday...
ILL STILL BE THERE CHEERING ON OUR HUSKIES!!! RAIN OR SHINE!!! I SAY BRING THE RAIN 02-13-banana
Absolutely. One of my all-time favorite games was the streak-buster against CMU in the rain.
On paper, NIU should have an advantage in this game. Weather can level the playing field - let's hope it doesn't.
no need for panic.. chance of precip is only 40% fri, sat, and 20% sun
As much as I hate to admit it, I will not be attending the game this Saturday, which will be the first home game I will miss in my entire undergraduate career, including Iowa at Soldier Field. Give the Huskies great support for me guys!
Latest weather report says rain Friday afternoon/night into Saturday morning. Should be cleared out by Saturday afternoon.
Could make for a great tailgating experience.

That was in 1998. Have we been rained on since? I can't remember.

One of the more miserable days I can remember was a game vs UNLV, in the mid 90s sometime, can't remember the exact year. It poured and poured and I got sick a few days after the game.
BBone, Hope you have a valid reason to miss a home game & welcoming the team home following a HUGE W.

I'm gettin chills just thinkin bout it.

I have fraternity obligations, so I'm going to be at a Province event in Evansville on Saturday.

That rain-drenched UNLV game was Oct 1995, just looked it up and NIU won 62-14 over UNLV. It was the last win in Huskie Stadium until that CMU streak-buster game in 1998, yikesssss.
I was up in Kalamazoo for the 2004 game against WMU. It was like a monsoon before that game. We got soaked - even with our tent and rain gear. Well worth it though, as the Huskies crushed the Broncos, sending Gary Darnell well on his way out the door. Huge day for Garrett.

It was a bigger day for Haldi, who had 6 TD passes that day, as we beat WMU 59-38. The rain cleared up pretty much after tailgating.

Worst rain games this century I have been to were the 3 and 33 loss (thanks Boogie) to Toledo, and then the big win at Kent St when Adrian Davis had 200+ yards subbing for GW. That was the hardest all game rain I have sat through. Only 8 people were in the Kent student section after half time. Was pretty funny, but they were getting blown out and it was pouring. The Huskie players cheering on the sidelines were louder than all Kent fans for that game. True Huskie weather.

Im going to cross all lines of nerdiness and post some graphics that deal with one of the internet models we look at work to help with weather prediction. We mainly use it sometimes during severe weather to see if the models think its going to be a squall line day, supercell day, etc. Well here is some graphical output of its radar simulation which sometimes is very bad and sometimes does quite well. I wouldnt pay attention to the exact placement of where it puts the showers, but more in terms of general coverage/intensity
