It's crisis mode at UAB football central. If our guys have any mettle, they will respond...but the next 3 games are the 3 hardest. Suddenly, we're now in a position for utter devastation if we don't get one of them.

So, what do you think?
1-7 going into FAU was my preseason prediction...i upped that to 2-6 after rice, but dropped it back to 1-7 after smu. until we prove otherwise, thats where i sticking
Every game of the 2nd half of the season is winnable to some extent. With all confidence gone, however, it's a matter of the coaching staff not losing the team.

After watching the last two games, it's questionable if the staff can even get the team ready to play a first half.
We just might be.
Put it this way... would being at 1-5 surprise you based on what we've seen so far?

We can't write off a single game, but the second half of this season is where our chance for respectability lies.

OTOH, how many Blazers really expected to leave LSU with a win? You just never know.
At this point, I see us at 1-11. They might pick up a game or two, but I don't see a single game left on the schedule, I feel confident enough to mark as a win.
We'll win 2 of our last 3 or 4, to keep hope alive for Callaway to live for another year. It's just my opinion.
Of course, I hope we win every game.
Go Blazers!
Yep, that is the way I see it. Anything other than 1-5 would require a major upset.

Those two early stops on Rice are probably the difference in the first game.
Here's the problem: 5 of the next 6 are on the road. Texas A&M struggled at home yesterday against Utah St so UAB is more than capable on hanging with the Aggies and maybe even pulling off a win.

That being said, the only games I don't see us having a chance in is USM and Mississippi so that is 4 losses. But the season is not lost although the road will be difficult. FAU, UCF and USM will be difficult home games and any road game is always tough.

I say we just take it one game at a time although my feelings about this team isn't good at all.

I agree.
I still see 6 wins. I thought we would blow out Rice, struggle to beat SMU and lose to Troy, possibly bad.

Now we have to win one we were not supposed to.

I stand by 6 wins.
No, i'll go with 2-4 ....Texas AM or USM will lose to our Blazers.

Did you ever name the 6? Apologies if you did. I just can't remember off the top of my head.

My golf score right now is technically +2 (If I remember correctly you are at +1) but since my pre-season is turning out so poorly I have to think that a rethink of 6-7 wins is in order... Sure SMU vs recent years past is improved, but I don't think you can spin Troy with all those penalties and errors as a "good team"...

P.S. To any interloping Troy State fans I should add that we don't need your peanut gallery comments on the above. Yes, I am quite convinced Troy is better than UAB, my point is that that isn't saying a whole lot.
I hope UAB is 4-2 when they head to Huntington and leave 4-3. Hopefully finishing the season 9-3!
