9-3 last week...let's hope the MAC gets a few more quality non-conference wins this week and more importantly, beats some quality BCS schools.

Here's how I see it - how about you?

Post thoughts and comments below.

We need to beat Purdue. I'm tired of all the close losses, especially against BCS teams. We've had too many games we could have won but didn't. Time to get it done!
Agreed Epasnoopy.
These next two weeks should be pretty comfy for Western Michigan with Miami and Hofstra coming up. Still, I'm not sure how quickly we should judge the RedHawks. Just about any MAC team would have been outclassed @ Boise State.

I like your prediction that they'll get points though. That's a streak that really should not go to three games.
Nick:

Some gutsy calls there.

GO MAC!
Surprised you have us beating the spread, Nick. Go Owls! Beat State Penn!
is a game in Cleve, Akron & Kent vs BCS foes poor planing
Akron scheduling a B10 opp at 2:30 while OSU is playing in Cleveland at noon may be. But they may draw a good crowd anyway because of the new stadium this year. But it won't be because IU is there.

The KSU game is not until 7 p.m. The OSU game should have no bearing on how large or small the crowd in Kent. It's not like NE Ohio is clamoring to see Iowa St. It will likely be a typical early season KSU crowd: I'd guess in the 15-18K range.

"Three BCS opponents on the same day" sounds good on paper, but it's not that big a deal when you look closer. The crowds would likely be about the same if they were on 3 separate weekends.

It's poor coordinating no matter how you look at it.

The conference members should have done something to try and increase attendance and interest. Even if it didn't work, they'd be putting forth an effort.

It's a lack of courage. A lack of innovation. Maybe even just plain disinterest and laziness. All the very antitheses of what universities are about.
I think it's great to have all three games on the same day - that never happens.

I know of four people who plan on attending all three games that day - how cool is that?

Even that could be coordinated better. That's my point.

Same day? Find a way of making that a bigger deal.

Different weekends? Find a way of making that a bigger deal.
Certainly will flood the media with MAC info this weekend. HSers in that region may well take note.
