This weeks report can be best described as: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
The Good: For the 3rd straight year, UALR's cross country teams each finished first in the Arkansas Tech Twilight Meet. While the men placed five runners in the top seven, the women placed four in the top ten. UALR's next meet will take place October 3rd at the University of Louisville's Greater Louisville Classic.
The Bad: UALR's volleyball team came back form the UTA Invitational 1-1. The Trojans defeated host UT-Arlington, 3-1, but were swept 3-0 by Oklahoma later in the day. The Trojans' (5-3) final nonconference play will take place in Memphis, TN on Friday at the Tiger Invitational.
The Ugly: UALR Soccer (2-4-0) suffered their worst defeat in several years as they were shut out by Ole Miss, 8-0. The Trojans were outshot, 36-7 throughout the match and allowed 5 goals in the second half. UALR will try and make amends this Friday afternoon at Southeastern Louisiana and at Louisiana Tech the following Sunday.
