I may have missed it somewhere, but I havent seen anything about Anshel Cooper leaving the team. Evidently the athletic department doesn't want fans being kept abreast of what's going on. If that's the case, they're doing a damn good job of it.

If a star player leaves a program, especially before his or her senior season, it should be the obligation of the athletic department to inform the public of their departure. They aren't obligated to release any embarrassing information. Just say the player has left the program for whatever reason. The CIA doesn't keep secrets as well as our basketball programs.03-banghead

I spoke with my friends from Marion about this and they were just as in the dark as we are. In fact, they asked me first what the deal was. I've never seen such a lack of information about a star leaving a team.
