In the midst of a humid evening, UALR soccer ended their 3-match homestand Wednesday evening with an impressive 2-0 shutout win over UAPB at Burns Park Soccer Complex. Sophmore Jacquelyn Paz opened her scoring account in the 29th minute with a goal from 10 yards out, assisted by fellow sophmore Aubrey Tafoya. The Trojans played well against a rather tough UAPB Lionette side, which came into the match with a 2-0-2 record. Junior Danielle Dunsworth scored from the penalty spot in Minute 73 to round out the scoring and secure GK Jane Picarelli's 11th career shutout. The Trojans (2-3-0) will go on a 3-game road trip, starting with a game at SEC powerhouse Ole Miss Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm.
