Scout and Rivals list Kendrick higher than Prather, but who do we have more of a 'shot' with? Id love to get both but with WB, JJ, and EW i dont know if that will happen..and is Crawford still in the mix?

No one is out at this time. Crawford may requalify to the 2011 class. Probably the best chance with Crawford followed by Kendrick followed by Prather. Prather will decide in the fall. Kendrick will wait until the spring at least he says.

Remember the old days when everyone besides a few kids would commit in the fall? Now it seems like everyone drags it out either hoping for better offers or to make sure they're making right decision.

that method surely back fires on some recruits though... unless you are a top 10 then the BIG HEAD schools hold that scholarship door open for you... other than that, coaches not really waiting around that often, cause that can SURELY back fire on them... what's wrong with just committing in the fall?? geez... kids these days...

I guess it can backfire in some cases, but it has plenty of possible advantages too ...
1) Find out more about hoops teams ... How good are they, who is likely to return next season, what positions are logjammed or needing help, how is team morale/chemistry?
2) Coach insurance ... don't have to start from scratch if coach bails
3) Opportunity to increase stock with good senior season ... especially good for late bloomers or non-AAU types

Does all this outweigh the comfort of knowing where you're going before your senior season and not having to worry about if a spot is still available? Different answers for different people, but seems like trend is moving towards waiting.

Or......to keep their names in the papers......more "buzz"
I rather see them commit early and sign letter early, of course not with a binding out clause though

i did, none adressed this particular question.
Prather has scheduled visits, and Memphis isn't on his list. Yet, it is said that Memphis isn't out of the race. Kendrick visited this weekend and plays the PG/SG position. His commitment should hinge on who comes, who stays, and who goes (JJ, Sallie, EW, etc). Crawford is said to have Tennessee as his leader and Memphis in a close second.

I read about all that on threads here and memphisroar.com
