Hint:

He played college ball at our biggest rival.

He turns 40 this season.

He's maybe the biggest drama queen/ media hound in professional sports.

Any takers?
Who? I hadn't heard...

The only thing more exciting than another Favre comeback is another thread discussing Favre's comeback.
I heard a Favre soundbite on the radio this morning: "It's great for football!".

Narcissistic, much?
It was a JOKE, folks. Remember those?

You know, when you were younger, you'd tease someone incessantly, or play pranks on someone, something along that line.

A joke. Nothing more or less.

For those that have forgotten what they were.
Joe Namath?

When will Favre break out the fur coat on the sidelines? ...if only Minnesota played outside.
You can only be back if you left in the first place.

You may have "broken the code" with that remark. Would Favre have returned at his age to play in an outdoor stadium in MN? He will probably play a couple of "chill factor" games "away", but he will be toasty warm indoors for all 8 of those home games. If his arm holds out (and the rest of his body), he might very well play more than one season in MN.
Notice that there was never any rumors of Favre playing in Buffalo?
I'm sick of the Favre story but this really is a great fit for both sides. The Vikes are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball and they really were an adequate QB away from being Super Bowl contenders. As long as Favre isn't expected and doesn't try to do too much and will defer to A-Pete in the offense, the Vikes have a legit shot at playing in Miami in next Feb.
He'll be Smaug's fantasy quarterback when he forgets to show up for the draft and autopick selects him -- after his first-round pick of a defense, of course.

That pretty much sums up my entire sports career.
