Apparently some Turd fans and Trojan fans having some fun at our expense. Let’s turn this poll around.

Success remains the best revenge.
"Been there, Done that!!" Did it well too. Very soon the question will not even be asked-- seriously, or otherwise. It is only asked now while we are in the depths of our post-Brown and APR trials. As the Kingston Trio song went-"All our troubles, soon forgotten".
I have a question and hopefully there will be some good responses on this thread: How secure is our affiliation with CUSA? I know that we are a founding member but relative to other schools in the conference, how valuable is UAB? Also if anyone knows, compared to other member schools, where does our attendance in football rank?

In my opinion, we are fortunate to play in this conference. Personally, I think I underappreciated the original C-USA, but even in its current form, its still pretty solid. Unless we somehow elevate our status enough to join a Big 6 conference, I'm perfectly content with where we are.
We are VERY secure. in other words, if we leave it will be on our own accord.
UAB,UM,USM,UTEP,&UCF are CUSA period. We are part of the power base.
So...

Dumbaway and Brown Stain were about to lose some online advertising because nobody listens to their show or visits their website...

1. Post nonsense about UAB.
2. Aggravate BlazerTalk.

Are those two clowns still on the air?

Gads, local radio sucks.

Local radio gets worse by the day. Thank God for Sirius radio! Margaritaville whoot!

It would be stupid for UAB to go back to the Sun Belt Conference.

Ok. Why are Houston, Tulsa and SMU not part of the power base?

+1. And for some icing on the cake, we are tied at the hip with Memphis if the BE expands. Our political connections and strength are better than they have been since Gene was in the AD chair. Garrison (and Mackin to a lesser extent) is one of the most valuable assets UAB athletics in general, and football specifically, has ever had...and I say that having talked to many pretty powerful people with no connection to the Southside campus.

It's all about political connections and power structures that have been cultivated. ECU could be part of this but their AD would rather be a maverick. Marshall has been, and still is, in chaos from an athletic administration standpoint. The western schools are too different in mission and have too much of a history of animosity. UTEP has tried hard to connect with the Eastern schools because they've experienced the wasteland (media-wise) that is West Coast college football.
Good job guys

Final Results:

Yes, better rivals in football and hoops 39.84 %

No, It would be a step backwards 60.16 %
